

About Me:
Sani Muhammad is the founder and executive director of the Bridge Connect Africa Initiative. He is a passionate women’s rights activist who has led several campaigns and movements, mobilizing young people across Nigeria on sexual and reproductive health. Sani has over 6 years’ experience working to formulate and review evidence-based strategies and policies that promote gender equality, strengthen child protection, increase access to sexual and reproductive health services for young people, criminalize child marriage, and end sexual and gender-based violence and other harmful traditional practices in Nigeria. He is also interested in grassroots movements that promote transparency and accountability in the health, education, and WASH sectors and using digital technology as a tool in advancing the sustainable development goals. Sani is an inspirational youth leader who is the recipient of many prestigious awards and fellowships. He is a Youth Multimedia Fellow with the Populations Reference Bureau, Women Deliver Young Leader and Kashim Ibrahim Fellow
