

About Me:
Sadiq Abubakar Shehu works as a programs intern at the Bridge Connect Africa Initiative. He is a graduate of sociology who has a strong sense of devotion to women and girls’ empowerment. He is passionate about child and maternal health and committed to creating an empowerment-enabling environment for them. As an advocate for youth sexual and reproductive health rights and child education, he has participated in several projects that promote the health and well-being of young people, improve child education through creating awareness and citizen participation, and promote gender equality that speaks against all forms of gender-based violence (GBV), harmful traditional practices, and a culture of silence on GBV cases. Sadiq aspires to be a progressive communicator who helps promote development by deepening meaningful engagement and mainstreaming positive voices to stimulate positive behavioral change in society.
