Makiyah Sulaiman Muhammad the Chief Operations Officer at Bridge Connect Africa Initiative responsible for the daily operation of the organisation, as a reproductive health expert she is also responsible for our maternal and reproductive health programs. She holds a Bachelor degree in Applied Biology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Health Education and Promotion and a Masters in Reproductive Health with over seven years experience working with Maternal Newborn and Child Health care programmes as an programme assistant and in the family planning unit at a Primary Healthcare Centres across various local governments in Kano State, Nigeria.
Makiyah is well versed in administrative, logistical and information management assistance to the Program Leaders and other team members, as well as planning and coordination of team activities. She has years of experience in the area of service delivery, including, facilitation of community scorecard survey in the program supported communities, transcription of audio Hausa Language to English for report writing, data management for analysis, providing technical support to mobilizing communities on the Emergency Transport Scheme, safe space initiatives, and traditional birth attendant training.
She is a self motivated individual with knowledge on family planning commodities/process, advocacy, community mobilization and engagement skills.
