

About Me:
Mr. Abbas Adamu is a development worker with six years of experience in project management, research, coalition building, gender mainstreaming, resource mobilization, facilitation, technical support, system strengthening, and evidence-based advocacy to drive change. He possesses a Masters Degree in Development Studies, a degree in mass communication and political science, and an International Diploma in Information and Communication Technology.
In the last 6 years, Abbas has managed projects on gender-based violence, good governance, gender equality, girl child education, agriculture, and policy advocacy. He has organized over 100 focus group discussions with children, women, and girls and has facilitated key informant interviews with critical stakeholders across various communities in Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, and Bauchi State. His resourcefulness and research work have impacted over 5,000 young girls and organizations that use data for development interventions. He is culturally sensitive and possesses strong analytical, strategic thinking, and planning skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage work plans. He is skilled in MS Office applications and Open Data Kit, is proficient in audio editing, and has a very sound knowledge of Nigerian socio-political economies and cultural environments. He is proficient in Hausa, Pidgin, and English and has excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
