Organizational Background

Bridge Connect Africa Initiative (BCAI) is a non-profit organization that creatively engages young people towards amplifying and building a voice around women’s rights, adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights, and girl child education in their communities. It believes that women & girls, and young people, with the right skills and knowledge, have the capacity to push for positive and sustainable changes and strengthen conversations around the sustainable development goals 2030 in their communities  
 
BCAI is calling for a Program Manager that will join the team to carry out the following responsibilities:
  • Research information and data necessary for grants and grant reporting. Develop narrative and donor reports on all grants and budgets. Manage reporting deadlines, coordinate, and consolidate reports as necessary from team members, and ensure documents are fit for purpose and in line with donor requirements.

  • Develops outlines, timelines, staffing, budgets, outcomes, and indicators according to funding guidelines.

  • Maintain necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials pertinent to Grants Office activities.

  • Prepare the annual membership invoices and receipts upon payment and share information related to all payments to the director. Organizing programs and activities by the mission and goals of the organization.

  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.

  • Creating and managing long-term goals. etc.

    • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.

    • Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.

    • Ensuring goals are met in areas including stakeholders and partners’ satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.

    • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.

    • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

    • Working on strategy with the marketing team to formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects.

    • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives.

    • Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and activities and apply change, risk, and resource management.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION NEEDED

  • At least 2 years of work experience in Project management.

  • Grant management experience with knowledge of the grant submission processes of major humanitarian and development donors, is an advantage

  • Proven and well-demonstrated experience in relationship-building skills and stakeholder management.

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position.
